Well, before it was any of these programs, it was a Japanese series called Gatchaman, and you'd be surprised at just how much there is about it on the internet (I certainly was).</p> <p>I first saw Battle of the Planets when I was 12 or 13, and I fell deeply in love with it. Then it went off the air, then it came back for a couple of episodes in the mid-eighties, and then it vanished and I thought it would never return. Broken hearted, I tried to forget it and get on with the business of being a wage-earning adult, but the memory never completely left me. And then, in 1995, my beloved Mark (not a cartoon character) bought himself an internet account and suddenly it all came rushing back to me, in the form of the series that it was constructed from, Gatchaman.</p> <p>The main content of this page is links to other pages.
